Holiday Concert

Tonight we attended Georgia's holiday concert at school.  We were grateful tobe joined by Tante, Granddad and Nana.  The concert went very well.  I will post a link to video and photos from the school site.  In the meantime, here are some pre-show poses at home!

Fa La La La La...La La La Laaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!

Well, the interior of our home is fairly holiday-ready.
I wish we could say the same for the people in the house!
It is safe to say that this will NOT be a craft Christmas from us.
I look forward to a 2011 of crafty birthdays!

This fireplace artwork (strong word!) is just Martha Stewart holiday scrapbook paper glued to a large foam board, much like what one would use for a science fair project or a business presentation.  It was a very easy and cheap project, just about an hour and less than $20 for the supplies. We may even flip it over and do it again for another occassion/holiday.

We've put  most of our decorations in the front corner of the dining room.  Our living room was very crowded last year with the tree and now that we have the 2nd dog, I wanted to try to keep the holiday decor out of the way of their play space, which is mainly in the living room.  We can still see it all from the living room and now we get to enjoy it while we eat dinner.  I think having it out of the living room will make me less likely to start packing it up on Dec. 26!  Which is one of Brian's pet peeves about me during holiday time.

Brian is looking forward to tackling the exterior lights sometime this weekend.
More photos to come!!  Happy Holidays!
